Jeff Renton, RPF

Jeff Renton is an Edmonton-based forestry and agricultural consultant and founder of Forstra Solutions. A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) in Alberta and Saskatchewan, Jeff holds a Master of Science in Biological Sciences and brings over 15 years of experience across forestry, agriculture, oil and gas, and municipal sectors in western Canada.

Jeff works with NGOs, landowners, and operators to build capacity and strengthen service delivery. He plans and manages land reclamation and restoration projects from initial assessment through contractor supervision and monitoring — and when clients need to make the case for a new initiative or investment, he develops the feasibility studies and business plans to get them there.

His clients benefit from deep technical expertise in revegetation and silviculture, an extensive contractor network, and a track record managing projects from concept to completion — including work on Canada's Two Billion Tree Program.

Jeff is also Chair of the 2026 Canadian Institute of Forestry National Conference & 118th AGM, hosted in Edmonton this September.
